The General Secretary (Senior Depot Inspector) of the All Ceylon Motor Workers’ Trade Union of the Sri Lanka Transport Board was arrested by Bribery Commission (BC) officials while soliciting a bribe of Rs 10,000.

He was arrested at the Central Bus Stand premises in Pettah following a complaint by a conductor of the Pothuvil SLTB Depot.

The suspect was remanded till June 27 after being produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court.
