The full implementation of the 13th Amendment can’t achieve reconciliation in Sri Lanka, National Freedom Front (NFF) leader Wimal Weerawansa said on Friday (04), addressing a press conference.

Weerawansa said that certain Tamil politicians are hindering the religious activities of Buddhist temples in the North already.

“What will happen if we give police and land powers to people with such extremist views? They will use police and land powers to antagonise the other communities. What happens when other communities react? Chaos,” he said
