Several key politicians from Tamil Nadu are expected to attend the funeral of Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) leader R. Sampanthan.

The funeral will be held on 07 July at the Trincomalee Public Cemetery.His remains are now at the party HQ in Jaffna and ITAK has taken steps to provide free transport facilities to Trincomalee to those who want to attend the funeral.
