Colombo, March 28 (Daily Mirror) – Saturn’s transit to the Pisces Zodiac sign from Aquarius at 21.44 hours on March 29, 2025, being a major significant celestial event, has captured the attention of astrologers and individuals the world over.

Added significance for people in Sri Lanka

This celestial event holds added significance for the people of Sri Lanka, as Saturn is the Ascendant lord (Lagnadhipati) of the national horoscope.

A flashback to the day of gaining National Independence

In this context, it is noteworthy that Sri Lanka became an independent sovereign nation when Sir Henry Monck-Mason Moore was sworn in as the first Governor General marking the end of the British colonial era at a formal ceremony held at the Queen’s House in Colombo at 7.30 am on February 04, 1948. Sri Lanka’s mundane map is based on this time.

Saturn’s transit

As Saturn’s transit is from the first House to the second House in the national horoscope, both Houses have come to assume foremost significance in regard to the major results this event is likely to produce.

The first House, the most important of the twelve, represents people, state of general affairs in the country, and public health in general.

The second House mainly deals with national wealth, status and relationships within the country and with its neighbours. It also rules financial stability, currency, and people’s financial status.

It is also noteworthy that Saturn, Ascendant lord is to move over to the second House of the most benefic planet Jupiter-ruled Pisces when there is already sitting in it a rare conjunction of six transiting planets including Neptune who is also a ruler of Pisces. The other planets already there are: Sun, Venus, Moon, Mercury, and Rahu.

Onset of an era of revolutionary changes

This unusual configuration of planets clearly indicates that it marks the onset of a period of revolutionary changes and transformation in the general conditions in the country as a whole and their general outlook. The government in power is certain to face formidable challenges in the wake of political and economic chaos. The changes indicated will later witness a marked upswing in public health, law and order, and infrastructure development.

Impact of Neptune’s presence

Of the seven planets sitting in the second House of the Mundane Map, Neptune is quite strong and dominant there as a ruler of Pisces.

Neptune is often described as a planet of chaos and dissolution which precedes the emergence of a new order!

This planet is considered capable of shaping the history of a nation especially when it is conjunct with or aspected by Saturn. And how Saturn is to move over to Pisces to conjoin Neptune!

Neptune in the second House also denotes fraud, disharmony, and losses to national revenue through illicit and underhand undertakings. However, exalted Venus and Mercury producing Neecha Bhanga Rajayoga, are capable of such evil influence and prevent possible damage.

Jupiter and Uranus in transit are conjunct in the cardinal 4th House, falling within the Taurus sign.

Jupiter being the most benefic planet denotes a salutary transformation in the agricultural sector, political stability, education, law and order and communal harmony.

Uranus, an evil planet, is, nevertheless, debilitated in the Taurus sign apart from being dwarfed by the might of Jupiter, poses no threat.
