The Meda Maluwa Perahera of the historical Kelaniya Raja Maha Viharaya paraded the streets on Saturday night (11). Basnayake Nilame of the temple, Dhammika Attygalle, is seen receiving the sacred relic casket from Chief Incumbent of the Kelaniya Raja Maha Viharaya, Most Ven. Agga Maha Panditha Prof. Kollupitiye Mahinda Sangharakkitha Thera, prior to the commencement of the Perahera. The final Duruthu Maha Perahera paraded the streets on Sunday night amidst a large gathering of devotees.
