In collaboration with Destination Rally of Belgium, Authenticities Sri Lanka has launched its second Classic Car Rally, which commenced on 18 February from Wattura Resort and Spa in Waikkal.
This prestigious event brings together 24 vintage automobiles and participants from across the globe, including Australia, the United States, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Brazil, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
The rally features an impressive lineup of classic cars from the 1930s to the 1960s, with iconic models from Bentley, Jaguar, Mercedes, Porsche, MG, Austin Healey, Delahaye, BMW, and Volvo. Enthusiasts have shipped their prized vehicles to Sri Lanka for this extraordinary journey, after which they will be repatriated to their respective countries.
Spanning over 1,600 kilometres, the rally traverses some of Sri Lanka’s most scenic rural landscapes, passing through Anuradhapura, Trincomalee, Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya, Kandy, Kandapola, and Nuwara Eliya, before heading towards Yala via Ohiya, Koslanda, and Buttala. The final leg will take participants along the stunning Southern Coast, stopping at Weligama and Galle, before concluding in Colombo on 2 March.
